Description

The Construction Contracts Act assures cash flow in the construction industry, and affects all owners (residential and commercial), developers, builders, sub-contractors, and consultants.

Although the Act has been in force for almost 13 years, it is not widely understood or effectively used, as illustrated by the recent collapse of a company reportedly owing sub-contractors and suppliers around $15 million.

The CCA Handbook aims to address that. It explains in plain English how the Act’s provisions achieve cash flow and resolve disputes; it details the impact of the Amendment Act 2015 and includes a copy of the legislation. If you’re in construction, the CCA Handbook should be in your business toolkit.
